This Is Murray’s Cheese, Inside A Supermarket

Murray’s Cheese is expanding its domain, branching out from its Bleecker Street and Grand Central locations and moving into the largest supermarket chain in the country, literally. Earlier this week the first Murray’s location inside a Kroger supermarket opened in Cincinnati, with two more planned for city. The stores-within-stores are designed to mimic the New York stores, complete with red and yellow signs and employee aprons. To prepare the Kroger employees for the monster-load of cheese they were expecting, “Kroger employees went through several months of training, which included a 300-page manual and a visit to New York City.” We might not need a special visit to the city we already live in, but we wouldn’t mind getting our hands on a Murray’s-issued cheese textbook.

If you don’t have Metro-North commuters battering you as you search for your money, it’s not the real Murray’s experience.
