Election Night Fire At Cheftestant Restaurant

Election partiers had to be evacuated last night from Camille Becerra’s Paloma after an electrical fire was discovered in the upstairs office. No one was hurt, thankfully, but by morning “the restaurant appeared as though it ‘burnt down,’” with the windows boarded up and the building’s facade covered in burn marks. Four people — one civilian and three firefights — are said to have been sent to the hospital, though the third-season Top Chef contestant refutes reports about the civilian smoke inhalation. Becerra says she doesn’t know when her restaurant will be able to reopen.

UPDATE: Eater has put up a post including building photos from the scene.
