
Breaking: Jamie Oliver and Adam Perry Lang Said to Be Teaming Up Overseas
Now here’s a bit of news, albeit unconfirmed: sources on both sides of the Atlantic are telling me that “Naked Chef” Jamie Oliver is doing a meat-centric restaurant project in England with none other than New York’s greatest meat expert, the redoubtable Adam Perry Lang (Daisy May USA, Carnevino, formerly Robert’s). It’s hard for me to say that somebody knows more about meat than I do, but it’s a fact, and Jamie Oliver must know it too. Perry Lang is famously secretive about his projects, but this one must be pretty big: apparently the chef is actually moving to England for several years to develop the concept. What is it? When is it? Will there be an American version? And what are Adam Perry Lang’s other projects going on, that I can’t seem to find out about? These, and other questions, will soon be answered, or I’m not New York’s second greatest meat expert. (Just ask Jeffrey Steingarten.)
