Sam Talbot A Step Closer to Chelsea, As Predicted Here

Back before there was a Feedbag, when I was Senior Editor-elect, as it were, I fed a rumor to Citysearch’s Keith Wagstaff that Top Chef heartthrob Sam Talbot might be heading to Chelsea. The rumor, which appeared on proto-Feedbag blog Bottomless Dish, was immediately poo-poohed and dismissed by the rest of the Kulinary Kommentariat, but look what we see over on Eater today!

There are not one but two applications on the agenda for Sam Talbot (though one is curiously spelled with two t’s), one at 7 Ninth Avenue and another right around the corner at 7 Little West 12th (part of the One Little West 12th space). We’ve heard rumors of him wanting to open a space in Manhattan before but were always told he was too busy out in Montauk.

It’s too early to say “We told you so,” but…we told you so!
